Santa's Crazy Night: Another animated movie idea

Kind of seasonal, but it could still be a lot of fun.

This is a movie idea meant to be produced around Christmas time (Y'know, if at ALL. Oh, and I also think it should be produced by Dreamworks. I like to give only my more dignified ideas to Disney to have Pixar produce them. This idea is little more than a twisted parody of Santa Claus and the story of Christmas, much like The Nightmare Before Christmas. This isn't exactly my best work, but with today's standards, it doesn't have to be. This new twist describes Santa's experience on the wierdest Christmas Eve of his life.

The movie begins at a meeting of Mythical Legendary Creatures, which include: Baby New Year, Cupid, Jack Frost, Jack-O-Lantern, Bigfoot, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, and, naturally, Santa Claus. The meeting is presided over by the fictitious dieties of time and space, Mother Nature and Father Time, but a much more relavent fact is that The Tooth Fairy has always been jealous of Santa Claus, not only for his great publicity, but also because Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny only work one day a year while the tooth fairy flies all around the world on a nightly basis, taking kids' teeth and leaving small amounts of cash. In this story, the Easter Bunny is Santa's best friend and bowling buddy. The meeting is to discuss Santa Claus and his possible retirement. With today's declining sense of morality and ever-growing population, having a Santa Claus who gives out gifts to all the world's good boys and girls just doesn't seem practical.

To talk himself out of retirement, Santa promises that this will be the best Christmas ever. The Tooth Fairy demands that if Santa fails, he be downsized, and Christmas be re-named Tooth Fairy Day, and she looks for ways to sabatage him. Santa manages to get around some of The Tooth Fairy's mischief, thanks to some help from Ms. Claus, Cupid, and The Easter Bunny, and but on Christmas Eve, Santa gets to the house of a mad scientist, just as the scientist is being robbed by a burglar. The scientist wants to use Santa in an experiment, and in the ensuing chaos, Santa's mind gets switched with the burglar's! Santa tries to go about his regular activities, but the burglar in his body steals his sleigh and bag of goodies, and Santa gets arrested for breaking and entering! While the real Santa is in prison, the burglar breaks into people's homes and steals their stuff, similar to The Grinch.

While in prison, Santa meets a surprisingly upbeat inmate arrested for vegrancy, as well as the crazy scientist who was arrested for another weird experiment. Meanwhile, the Easter Bunny tries to get the burglar who's in Santa's body to try acting more like Santa, but he just cold-heartedly rejects him. Things are looking bad for Christmas, but they get even worse when The Tooth Fairy discovers the burglar isn't really Santa. She comes up with a plan to use the mind-switcher to switch her and another mythical creature with Father Time and Mother Nature. She gets Bigfoot, Jack Frost and Jack-O-Lantern to help her. Santa's reindeer find out about the switch, and run away to tell The Easter Bunny. Meanwhile, in prison, Santa is really depressed and thinks that Christmas should have ended a long time ago.

The upbeat inmate says that he's been more-or-less a vagrant all his life, and that he never really belonged anywhere, but whenever Christmas came along, he felt like he DID belong. The togetherness and generosity of Christmas made his life worth living, even when people put him in jail. Meanwhile, the mad scientist manages to successfully break down one of the walls of the prison, enabling himself, Santa, and the vagrant to leave. They soon meet up with The Easter Bunny and Santa's Reindeer, and Santa convinces The Easter Bunny he really is Santa Claus. The Reindeer tell him about The Tooth Fairy's plot, and they all go back toward the Mad Scientist's house. The Tooth Fairy and Santa and his friends all begin a zany battle for control of the machine, during which, the vagrant is frozen solid. The burglar in Santa's body gets to the machine first, but he gets a look at himself and remembers the importance of Christmas.

He decides to switch back with Santa Claus, and The Tooth Fairy tries to switch with Santa Claus. Father Time and Mother Nature show up, and Mother Nature stops the switch while Father Time stops time. The mad scientist defrosts the vagrant who got frozen and Mother Nature and Father Time demote The Tooth Fairy and give his position to the vagrant. The mad scientist decides he's going to be a good scientist next year, in the hopes that Santa will bring him a techno-gadget he's been wanting, and the Burglar becomes his assistant. Santa Claus goes off to deliver his presents, but experiences time pressure when Father Time restarts time. As risky as things get, Santa makes all his deliveries. His status with the general population doesn't increase, but Mother Nature and Father Time decide not to retire him, having seen his effect on the burglar and the mad scientist.

The movie ends with Santa Claus, Ms. Claus, the mad scientist, the new Tooth Fairy, the burglar, and The Easter Bunny all ringing in the New Year at Baby New Year's nightclub.

Anyway, like I said, it's not my BEST work, but it has some potential.
