Who is the fastest?
71So, who is the fastest character in animated cartoon history
After making a blog on the STRONGEST characters in animated cartoon history, I decided to make a blog of the FASTEST characters in animated cartoons. After all, there have been MANY fast cartoon characters. The question is, which one is the very fastest do you think? Here are the contenders as far as THIS discussion question:
1. The Flash: D.C. comics' first and most famous speedy character, the "Scarlet Speedster" can move at speeds approaching the speed of light, and vibrate his molecules to run through solid objects. Some believe that he is even faster than Superman and can beat him in a footrace.
2. Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic is the fastest thing on the distant planet Mobius. His speed alone is enough to allow him to overcome an egg-shaped mad scientist and continuously save his animal friends.
3. Cheetara from Thundercats: Cheetara can be extremely fast, far beyond the speed of an average human, but only for short periods of times. Cheetara's extreme speed once allowed her to survive the Cave of Time, a landmark that prematurely ages others into old bones.
4. The Road Runner of Looney Tunes: The Road Runner may not posess any magical superhuman abilities, but he comically zips by and in doing so, avoids all the traps set by a clearly-smarter coyote.
5. Speedy Gonzalas: Essentially Looney Tunes' answer to Mighty Mouse, Speedy Gonzalas has no abilities of flight, strength or invulnerability, but can go easily as fast as the Roadrunner, and has shown the ability to run clean through Sylvester.
6. Dash Parr from The Incredibles: Dash is essentially a "Mini-Flash", zipping from one place to another like a bee being chased by a frog. It should be noted, however, that he can run fast enough to run on top of water without falling in.
7. Freakazoid: Freakazoid is a digital-based hero with evidently many powers, but the most often seen seems to be the power to move incredibly fast and in doing so, turn into a bolt of cartoon lightning. It seems obvious that his incredible speed causes him to act impulsively and cause all sorts of mischief.
8. Viewtiful Joe: Viewtiful Joe has "VFX" powers based on the abilities of a remote control, allowing him to go Mach Speed, or SSSSSLOW. THis should level the playing field, since he can easily gain the speed advantage.
9. Bravestar: Bravestar may very well not be the fastest character in cartoon history, but he is quite notable, as he can move at super-speed, the limits of which have yet to be tested. He accesses this superhuman speed by saying: "Speed of the Puma", which is also a pretty cool effect.
10. Mighty Mouse: Mighty Mouse is essentially a rodent version of Superman, and therefore known not only for his superhuman speed, but that is an important aspect of his abilities.
There are a variety of other cartoon characters with superhuman speed, but we're already getting too far from the whole "speed" concept. The preceeding list of speedy cartoon characters should only serve as a guide to some possible characters. The real answer to "Who is the fastest" is up to you, and I'd be very interested in what you think.

superman2, to stop time he would have to go AT the speed of light. If he was going above the speed of light, he would be reversing time, not stopping it.
Prince of persia is fastest character by slowing the time
alright now, i am going to give you soem really good evidence of his max speed. i did alot of research on so many websites, and i used to own some of these comic scans. this took awhile so would u? please stop saying his max speed is only the speed of sound. these are archie comic scans, if you dont belive me go look it up yourself, and do your own research trust me i was not playing around so you know.
In the early going, Sonic outraced shadows and was fastr than light in base form. Sonic moved twice the speed of light in base form. if you dont belive he moved twice the speed of light type this on youtube Sonic Blast Part 2 watch all the way up to about 25 seconds then you should see it state that he moved twice light speed. go look up sonic outraced shadows ans was faster than light look it up on google there is scans of this? on different websites. not done yet got more
Sonic the Comic: Hyper Sonic#134- Sonic’s max speed limit is reached when he moves so fast that he is stuck in a intant- he’s reached a level where he can move any distance in no time- roughshod version of infinite speed. He risks getting permenantly stuck in this mode when he does this. Vibration- trick. Can vibrate his molecules to slip through solid objects in his? normal form (Sonic #119). these issues here this was him in base form with no chao emerald.
another faster than light scan almost the same as Sonic the Comic: Hyper Sonic#134 He has no limit in his speed, he can just break his limits and get in a state where walking and even standing still is the same speed as his limit before. And only turn back to normal by completly relaxing. if you dont belive this then go look it up yourself it is in one of the sonic respect threads. or in other forulas online they post scans of this. still not? done yet
Sonic the Hedgehog Comic #174,? #175, #176, #177 - Sonic dashes from the ruins of the Knothole to the coast of the continent in an instant, then dashes back and rams into the Egg Beater with such speed & force that it leaves a dent, which should have been impossible, as the Egg Beater was created to counter Sonic at his strongest. i could prove more but that should be good enough now i willgo into the his game speed.
Sonic has his specific Lightspeed Set of moves. The lightspeed dash and light speed attack. Since Sonic Heroes, he can perform the lightspeed attack fast, and didn’t need to charge anymore. For the dash, he no longer needs to charge as of SA2.
Other than that, the games don’t emphasize on the specifics of his? speed.. can go fast enough to travel forward or back in time (Sonic CD) and create tornadoes at will by spinning in a circle mid air (Sonic Heroes). almost done
all of those comic speed feats, that was him without any? powerups. there is more speed feats, then this but i showed alot of good evidence that he is ftl speed easily.

Is sonic faster than light if hes ran this fast before?
As a disclaimer, Chaos COntrol warps time and space, and if he has “stopped time” for himself, he’s moving at infintie speed via moving ANY distance with the timer staying 0. Provided he chooses to do that. Thats not his real max speed.
Sonic’s max speed- This has occured twice, and i have COVERED this before.
As far as i am aware timeline wise, this first occured in the comics. Doesn’t matter
A. In the archie comic Hypersonic #134, Sonic finally revealed his highest speeds. There were two missiles headed in opposite directions on a continent, that he had to stop. He needed to save the day, so he pulled out his True top speed, and ran so fast- Time stopped. He then proceeded to cream one missle , then went all the way to the other and took it out, with a side-effect! Sonic had trouble getting out of this mode. Sonic had to use methods liek trainspotting to help himself get unstuck from this speed. So, what does sonic have? a. the power to reach speeds where he covers ANY distance with no time passing. and
that missile time, in Hyper Sonic 134- that was him in his base form, hitting infinite speed. Not Super Sonic. So yes, i was talking about base sonic. Moving WAY , way, way past light speed. please tell me what you think about it
